Board meetings and working groups of the ACI Africa
8 to 12 April 2013 Agadir, Morocco
The ICAO and ACI Africa organized a regional conference on security in Africa from 10 to 12 April 2013 to Agadir-Morocco at the invitation of the Office National Airports (ONDA). This is the official meeting of the Community of African air transport, partners and suppliers
This conference is within the scope of the initiative launched by ICAO and ACI to promote safety for the various stakeholders to contribute proactively to the demands of the air transportation system safe and secure. It will be organized in broad cooperation with major industry players namely the International Air Transport Association (IATA), the International Federation of Air Line Pilots Associations (IFALPA), the International Federation of Associations Controller Overhead (IFATCA) Services Organization Air Navigation (CANSO), the Foundation of Flight Safety (FSF) and other organizations in the airline industry
This conference aims to educate participants on the importance of runway safety and the importance of collaboration among all stakeholders in the air transport chain. This meeting will also be an opportunity to organize workshops and practical work for the implementation of runway safety groups (Local Team Runway safety) in airports and in accordance with this Resolution A37-6 of General Assembly of ICAO
The entire event will take place during 08 days (from 8 to 15 April 2013) and include the meeting of Board of Directors meetings and working groups of the ACI Africa (from 8 to 10 April 2013) regional conference on the safety of tracks, workshops and a visit to Agadir airport (from 10 to 12 April 2013) and a training seminar on the management system of safety (13 to 15 April 2013) (the training is free for members of CREA Africa)
